Our Story
I & K Accounting grew out of a meaningful partnership between Craig and Lisa Ingwer (the “I”) and Burt Krauss (the “K”). Long before the firms officially merged, Burt ran his accounting practice with Lisa working closely by his side as his assistant.
That relationship may never have begun if Lisa and Craig hadn’t purchased Burt’s home in Morganville, New Jersey. What started as a simple home sale turned into a genuine, personable connection that laid the foundation for years of collaboration.
Nearly twenty years later—after busy tax seasons, shared hard work, and Craig stepping in to help whenever needed—the three combined their strengths and formally created I & K Accounting.
While Burt has since passed, his presence and values remain at the heart of the firm. Every client relationship still reflects the personal attention, care, and integrity Burt believed in from the very beginning.
Who We Are
Craig Ingwer is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 30 years of experience in tax and accounting. He enjoys working closely with clients on income tax preparation and planning, as well as small business accounting and bookkeeping. Craig takes pride in offering clear guidance, thoughtful advice, and steady support throughout the year—not just during tax season.
Lisa Ingwer serves as Office Manager, bringing experience from the banking, advertising, and education sectors. Highly detail-oriented and technologically proficient, Lisa ensures the smooth daily operation of the office while supporting clients with exceptional organization and care.
